Gillian Burgis-Smith DFIFIP BA(Hons)DipArch(Hons)
The Manse Method® Practitioner

Blending her background as an inclusive design consultant grounded in lived and living experience, Gillian often works with clients, virtually, in their own homes. Enabling clients to stay engaged in a familiar environment that supports regulation. She recognises that clients may feel more open in their own space, while also being able to tailor the setting to their needs, age, ability and schedule - around life, work, caregiving, and/or health needs.
As a practitioner of the Manse Method®, she brings an in‑mind, neuroscience-informed perspective, supporting individuals to gently process and resolve trauma without the need to verbalise or relive events. By working with the brain’s natural mechanisms for memory encoding and resolution, she creates a safe, non-intrusive space for transformation—enabling clients to move beyond stored patterns towards greater clarity, resilience, and wellbeing.
Drawing on research and personal experience, as an Architect, she is deeply attuned to the subtle, often unspoken ways environments (in mind and out of mind) can trigger stress, disorientation, or relief.
She is also co‑founder of OWENS™, a joyful journey method that helps individuals, teams, and organisations understand how environments can enable everyone to flourish.
Alongside her practice, she works as part of the Neurovision Group—a multidisciplinary collective supporting neurodivergent individuals and families through a deeper understanding of sensory processing, behaviour, and environment—while also contributing to the Workplace Wellbeing Academy. Across all her work, she brings a rare combination of psycho-sensory insight, environmental expertise, and living experience.
Gillian works global profit‑for‑purpose and offers a limited number of socially responsible pricing options, each month. If you would like to enquire about availability, please get in touch.
